Stress Echocardiography
What is it for?
Also known as Stress Echo Testing, this test combines the echo and exercise stress test.
How do I prepare?
Wear comfortable clothing and walking/running shoes. Eat, drink, and take medications as normal unless directed otherwise by our physicians.
What can I expect during the procedure?
Ultrasound is used to capture images of your heart before and after exercise. This is done to determine whether your heart muscles are getting enough blood and oxygen while you exercise.
What can I expect after the procedure?
Your doctor will continue to monitor your ECG, heart rate, and blood pressure until the levels return to normal. There are no side effects and patients can go back to their usual diet and activities.
